Insulators

Customer-specific insulators

Insulators – also called electrical non-conductors – are made of material with a very high resistance, which means that only a very low current flows through the component. The insulation properties of our insulators are matched to the requirements of the railway industry and used for the reliable insulation of live components from the coach body.

Materials

Silicone

  • Excellent insulating properties
  • High creep resistance due to the hydrophobic surface
  • Extremely light
  • No maintenance necessary
  • Insulators that are only contaminated during operation do not need to be cleaned.

Cast resin

Non-conductors made of resin have good insulating properties and are inexpensive to purchase.

Porcelain

The dinosaur among insulators is made of porcelain (ceramic), which is why we only use it for the repair of existing components. Our portfolio includes a variety of older insulator shapes.
