Fully insulated vacuum circuit breaker

Our fully insulated vacuum circuit breakers - in both electrical and pneumatic versions - have been specially developed to safely disconnect and connect the current flow between the overhead contact line and the electrical equipment of traction units. This is done even under load and guarantees reliable spark extinction.

Thanks to its fully insulated design, the vacuum circuit breaker can also be used in confined spaces without any problems. With a compact installation height of just 325 mm and standardised connections, it offers maximum flexibility. In addition, the switch can be used both indoors and outdoors (with protective box) and is maintenance-free.

Electrical design - efficient and easy to maintain

The electrical design of the vacuum circuit breaker enables phase-controlled switching, which offers numerous advantages:

• Reduced electromagnetic interference (EMI): Phase-synchronised switching reduces electromagnetic interference and is therefore particularly advantageous for use in sensitive electronic systems.
• Increased service life of the switching devices: The reduction in switching losses and the associated thermal load optimises the service life of the switching devices. This optimises the life cycle costs.

An outstanding advantage of this variant: You do not need a pneumatic line, which considerably simplifies both installation and maintenance.
